'Raya' to compete at Spain's Islantilla Cinefórum filmfest

Iranian short film ‘Raya’ has entered the official short story competition section of the 14th International Film Festival 'Islantilla Cinefórum' in Spain.

Directed by Sepideh Berenji, the 13-minute short is the story of a little school girl named Raya and her friends who cause trouble at school. At the same time, Raya wonders about morals and compares herself to her parents.  

‘Raya’ has already taken part at a number of film events, including the Nahal International Student Short Film Festival in Iran, the Zlin Film Festival in the Czech Republic and the 7th International Usak Short Film Festival (UFF) in Turkey.    

The International Film Festival Islantilla Cinefórum (International Festival of Cine Bajo la Luna - Islantilla Cinefórum) is an international event that takes place every year in July and August in the city of Huelva in Spain and a wide range of Shows short and long works in the competitive and side sections for the audience.

The upcoming edition of the event will kick off on July 3 and will continue until September 28, 2021.
